Modern woodcarving

Tucked away in the Val Gardena, in South Tyrol, the Che Regali workshop carries on a woodcarving tradition dating back to the 17th century, when local craftsmen first carved their own tools before turning to sacred art. Today, its sculptors blend this age-old expertise with more contemporary lines: nativity scenes, Madonnas, crucifixes and hand-carved wooden angels with sometimes rounder, more modern shapes, always hand-painted and finished. Bel-Art is proud to be the exclusive Benelux representative of Che Regali, offering, among other things, a collection of wall crosses found nowhere else.
